An inground scissor lift sits flush with your floor, which means the groundwork matters as much as the machine. Getting these items settled early avoids a container sitting in your yard while you wait for concrete.
1. Confirm the pit dimensions against your machine
Pit length, width and depth must match the model you ordered. Ask us for the installation drawing before you break ground — not after.
2. Plan the drainage
Water in a pit is the most common long-term problem with inground lifts. Decide before pouring how water will be removed, and where it will go.
3. Check your power supply
Our lifts are supplied for 220 V or 380 V, single or three phase. Confirm which you have and make sure the supply reaches the pit with adequate cable size.
4. Think about how the machine gets to the pit
A scissor lift is a heavy steel structure. Check that your entrance, doorway widths and floor loading can take it, and decide in advance what equipment will be used to move it into position.
5. Allow for the platform extension
Several of our lifts have extendable platforms so the same machine covers a wider range of vehicle lengths. If you plan to use that feature, the pit and the surrounding floor area need to accommodate the extension travel.
